Caerphilly Is Closer Than It Looks
Caerphilly sits the other side of the mountain from us, which sounds further than it is. From the workshop at Cilfynydd it is a twenty minute run, and we are in and out of the borough most weeks.
The town itself is mostly inter-war and post-war semis, with a decent amount of newer development around the edges. Square rooms, ceilings around two and a half metres, and a main bedroom that is usually a good size with a second one that is not. Those houses take a full height run well, because there is normally a clean wall to work with and no chimney breast in the way.
To confirmUp through Bargoed, Blackwood, Ystrad Mynach and the Rhymney valley you are back into terraces, and those bring the usual set of problems. Narrower rooms, a chimney breast with one usable alcove, and floors that have moved a bit over the years. None of it stops a run going in, it just has to be measured properly and scribed on the day.Down towards Caerphilly's newer estates and out at Llanbradach and Nelson, the rooms are square and the ceilings lower, which is where mirror doors do their best work on a small bedroom.

Your doors are cut and built at Cilfynydd, over the mountain from Caerphilly. The person who measures your room works at the place they are made.
Our own fitter, not a subcontractor
Fitting day is one of our own team, not somebody handed your address that morning. If something needs adjusting we come back ourselves.
