Swansea Houses, and What Fits in Them
Swansea has more variety than most places we work. The inter-war semis running out through Sketty, Killay and Uplands are the bread and butter, with bay-fronted main bedrooms, decent width, and ceilings just high enough that a shop-bought wardrobe leaves a good foot and a half of nothing above it.
Closer in, around Brynmill, Mount Pleasant and the Hafod, you are into terraces. Narrower rooms, a chimney breast in the middle of the wall, and the usual pair of alcoves that most people never get proper use out of. Those alcoves are usually where the best storage ends up.
Out west towards Mumbles, Langland and Newton the stock changes again, with more detached houses, dormers and bungalows, and bedrooms that are often long and narrow rather than square. A mirrored run on the long wall widens those rooms noticeably.
And then there are the newer estates and the flats around the marina, where the rooms are square and the ceilings lower. Every one of those is a different job, which is the point of building each run to the room rather than ordering it from a catalogue.

The workshop is at Cilfynydd, just outside Pontypridd. Swansea is further out than most of where we work, so we tend to plan those jobs rather than fit them in around the corner, but everything we fit there is still made by us.
Made here, not ordered in
Your doors are cut and built at our own workshop rather than ordered from a factory and shipped over. Nothing arrives flat packed from overseas.
Our own fitter, not a subcontractor
Fitting day is one of our own team, not somebody handed your address that morning. If something needs adjusting we come back ourselves.
No showroom markup
Companies with retail park showrooms pass on the rent, the advertising and the commission. We make ours ourselves, which is the whole reason we start at £999.

A mirrored run along the long wall widens the room considerably to the eye. It is one of the most common things we fit in that kind of house.
