What Port Talbot Bedrooms Are Like
Port Talbot has three kinds of house and we build fitted wardrobes in all of them. Down in Aberavon and Taibach it is mostly terraces, with narrow bedrooms, a chimney breast taking up the middle of the wall and an alcove either side that rarely gets proper use.
Sandfields is a different job. The post-war houses there have square rooms, lower ceilings and a second bedroom that is usually just about big enough for a bed. That is the room where sliding wardrobes make the biggest difference in Port Talbot, because a hinged door needs floor space that is simply not there.
Out at Baglan and on the newer estates the rooms are more regular again, though the ceilings are lower and the space is tighter. A floor to ceiling run with mirror doors makes a small modern bedroom feel considerably bigger.
Up the valley in Cwmafan and Pontrhydyfen you are back into older terraces, with floors and walls that have moved over the years. None of it stops a fitted wardrobe going in, because every run is measured to the room it is going in.

The workshop is at Cilfynydd, just outside Pontypridd, around forty five minutes from Port Talbot. Everything we fit in the town is cut and built there.

Your doors are built at our own workshop, not ordered from a factory and shipped over. The person who measures your room works at the place they are made.
Our own fitter
Fitting day is one of our own team, not somebody handed your address that morning. If something needs adjusting we come back ourselves.
No showroom markup
Companies with retail park showrooms pass on the rent, the advertising and the commission. We make ours ourselves, which is how we start at £799.

That is usually the room that gains the most. A hinged door needs two feet of clear floor to open and a small second bedroom has not got it. Sliding doors need none.
